1st Place Winner
Maybe there are some of you who've felt my pain: that of coming in second in an on-going monthly competition, twice in a row.
And to top it all, my third attempt didn't
even win anything! Nada! Zilch!
So I said to myself that last February's
will be my final attempt at copping first place.
And if I don't win this time, I will call it quits.
I don't know for sure but maybe somebody heard
my thoughts and took pity on me...hahaha!
I can now retire from
active competition. Haha!

The Making of a Box :P
I took a photo of a WWII bomber on 'static display' in an air museum in Utah, where it was under a hangar and surrounded by other vintage planes. After I cleaned out the other objects in the frame, I 'composited' the plane with a sky-and-clouds background.
That composite photo is my present computer wallpaper, and while thinking of a suitable subject matter for the February contest of a forum I belong to (adobe photoshop club) that wallpaper just called attention to itself: The image in the monitor looked to me like the box of a model airplane! So I made the photo into a model airplane "box," and to complete the illusion, I used Photoshop's 'plastic wrap' filter "around the box." Then I remembered that I haven't used a plug-in that I won two months back in the same forum's contest ("Page Curl") and incorporated that
into the final layout, too.
